A new map is here!

Split Ford is now open!

The second map is out. Split Ford is bigger than Riverside Pass and its first wave is about as hard as Riverside's 10th wave. You can host it once you've reached wave 10 on Riverside.

About the map
Both fords are open from wave 1. Three more lanes open on waves 4, 6 and 8, and the wave before each one the preview tags it NEW and lights up its route, so you get a round to build for it.

Everyone starts with 2,000 gold and picks two free upgrades before wave 1.

Six new enemies
  • Reedguard - rank and file behind a wicker shield, eight times a grunt's health, and lots of them.
  • Grounding Ox - lightning chains stop on it, so start yours past it.
  • Lantern Bearer - the crowd around it takes 30% less damage while it's alive.
  • Salt Cantor - glows white for a second, then clears burns and poison off the enemies near it. A stun during the glow cancels it.
  • March Bell - removes slows and shortens stuns on the enemies around it. Watch for the swing.
  • The Lockkeeper, the boss. It slams you up close and jumps on you if you keep away. The landing spot is marked two seconds ahead, and it brings Lantern Bearers down with it.

More upgrade tokens to get
Split Ford's reward ladder pays two Upgrade Tokens at waves 20, 35 and 50. Your save carries over as it is: everything you've bought and earned stays.

Also in this build
  • Every weapon and tower has an icon, on the toolbelt, the loadout and the tower card.
  • Lane markings are part of the ground now and follow the outside of junctions instead of crossing each other.
  • Bigger loadout slots and dropdowns.

Split Ford hasn't been played outside the team yet, so let us know how the first few waves feel, especially solo. Bug reports and "this wave is unfair" are both welcome.
