The game used to force-download 90+ cosmetic packages before you could play. That's gone. Core gameplay assets load first (17 packages), and cosmetics stream in the background while you're already on the main menu. A progress indicator shows the status. First load should be seconds instead of minutes now.
Watermelons were hard to spot, especially at speed. Two fixes:

Highlight outline: Watermelons now have an orange glow outline (using s&box's HighlightOutline system) that intensifies as they get closer. They also get a brighter tint so they pop against any background or lighting condition.
Warning indicator: A 🍉▶ warning appears near Terry whenever a watermelon is incoming. It pulses and grows as the obstacle gets closer. You'll never be surprised by one again. [This needs improving though]
The camera was previously fixed in place - it never moved during gameplay. We've added a dynamic camera system that actively tracks Terry:

- Reframed so Terry sits on the left with more of the road ahead visible
- FOV widens dynamically as speed increases, giving a natural sense of acceleration without pulling the camera further away
- Camera pulls back slightly at higher speeds for extra breathing room
Hold Tab during gameplay to view leaderboards without leaving your run. Tabs for Score, Coins, Distance, and Daily Challenges. Game pauses while you look, resumes when you release.
Lighting now transitions between Day, Sunset, Night, Adds visual variety without any performance cost
Minimum obstacle spacing now scales with speed, prevents unfair back-to-back spawns at high velocity
Minimum spawn interval raised slightly (0.6s → 0.7s)
Obstacles are readable from further away thanks to the increased spawn distance

  • Obstacle highlight system - obstacles subtly pulse and tint as they approach the player
  • Difficulty minimum spawn interval raised (0.6s → 0.7s) for fairer pacing
  • Pause menu cleaned up - leaderboard moved to Tab, pause is just Resume/Cosmetics/Menu
  • Massively reduced load times - removed 90 cosmetic packages from PackageReferences (107 → 17 packages)
