Terry Run is an endless runner in s&box where you play as your own avatar. Jump over roadblocks, duck under and over watermelons, and grab coins while pushing for the highest score you can.

I’ve been working on this over the past few days and it’s now up for everyone to play.

Core gameplay
Classic endless runner with scaling difficulty. The longer you survive, the faster it gets. watermelons start showing up later, coin patterns get tighter, and everything ramps up over time.


Upgrades & powerups

Spend coins on 4 permanent upgrades: Shield, Magnet, Double Coins, and Dash. They scale infinitely with increasing costs. Shield takes hits for you, Magnet pulls in coins, Double Coins boosts earnings, and Dash gives a short invulnerable burst of speed.


Prestige system

Once everything hits level 10, you can reset for permanent bonuses. Each prestige gives compounding boosts (+10% score, +15% coins per level). Basically a long-term grind loop.


Cosmetics

300+ clothing items from the s&box wardrobe and workshop. Buy with coins, equip on Terry, preview in a 3D viewer with full rotation and zoom per category. Save up to 4 outfits and favorite items for quick access.


Boosts

5 consumable pre-run boosts: Head Start, Score Doubler, Extra Life, Coin Magnet, Shield Start.


Daily challenges

New challenge every day, generated from a date seed. Streaks give bonus coins.


Leaderboards & achievements

50 achievements across all systems, plus leaderboards for score, coins, distance, and daily challenges.

Object pooling for obstacles and coins (no runtime spam) 
Cookie-based save system 
Background loading for workshop clothing (no freezes) 
ClothingContainer system with proper slot handling 
Dedicated 3D preview scene with lighting, bloom, AO, SSR, etc. 
Correct compounding prestige using MathF.Pow 
Movement feels tight: coyote time, jump buffering, variable jump height, fast-fall
Free on s&box. Singleplayer, keyboard + controller support, saves between runs.

  • Smoother difficulty curve based on obstacles dodged (not time)
  • Game over screen with score delta, peak speed, obstacles dodged, prestige bonus, and daily challenge progress
  • Upgrade costs increased for longer progression (75 base, 2.1x scaling)
  • Magnet radius reduced to feel less overpowered - coins visibly travel instead of snapping
  • Dash gives Terry a pulsing orange tint while active
  • Shield break spawns mini copies of the destroyed obstacle that fly apart
  • Main menu redesigned - single shop row with Upgrades, Cosmetics, Boosts, and Prestige buttons
  • Cosmetic shop tabs with item counts and search function
  • Workshop items load in the background so the game starts fast
  • Restart is R key only (no more accidental Space restarts)
  • Your current avatar outfit is now automatically owned in the shop
  • Clothing no longer clips through the body - proper body part hiding when items are equipped
  • Items that conflict with each other (same slot) are now properly hidden
  • Tint colors from your avatar are preserved when importing your outfit
