The museum shop
A shop now stands by the tunnel arch. It opens once you have your first exhibit. The kudos your visitors pay can now be spent:
- **Curator boosts**, each for one round:
- **Slider soles**: slides go faster and carry further.
- **Fleet foot**: run a little faster.
- **Steady hands**: the wall takes 8 more taps before it gives.
- **Head start**: the boulder waits 1.5 seconds longer before it rolls.
- **Lucky pockets**: finds you bring home are worth double.
The boosts you bought show in the corner of the screen during the round, and light up when they help.
- **Plinth enhancements.** Give a piece a finer stand, then gallery lighting, then a stand made just for it, so it draws more visitors. The Seer's Eye and the Rosewood Casket have their own stands already, and more are coming.
- **Display cabinets.** Buy up to four. The finds you keep fill them on their own and bring in more visitors.
- **The closing bell** is now bought at the shop. Once it's yours, it stays in every museum you open.
Rare finds
Nine unique antiquities are hidden in the mounds, each given away by a rainbow glint. Bring them home to keep, along with your first pottery shard, bead and coin.
Choose your route
From your third dig on, the tunnel is roped off until you pick a route at the survey stand by the arch. There are two routes each round, and the more dangerous one pays 50% more kudos if you bring the artifact home. Bring the Surveyor's Scarab home and it maps both routes before you choose.
Every dig has its own ground
From your second dig on, a dig can come with a condition: the piece buried off-centre, rich ground with more to find, a quiet tunnel with fewer hazards, or a cracked wall that collapses sooner. The round card explains it, and the mark stays chalked on the tunnel arch until the dig is done.
Tunnel finds
Small finds now hang in loose rock on the tunnel ceiling. When the wall gives, they shake loose onto the floor. Run through them on the way home to pocket them. The boulder crushes any you leave behind.
A better start
- A short opening shows you what the museum is for, and a second sequence after your first exhibit introduces the crowd, the tools and the bell. Tap E to step through, hold E to skip.
- The dig shows exactly what your next tap will take away before you click.
- The first tunnels are shorter, and round one is one pit and one beam.
- The Seer's Eye lights up the next exhibit's place on the collection board.
- Every plinth shows its exhibit's name and how many visitors it brings in.
Fairer runs
- In late rounds, a clean sprint now holds the boulder off.
- Every tool arrives one dig earlier.
- Beams in bad ground are spaced further apart.
- The first time the wall gives, the boulder waits a moment longer before it rolls.
Sound
New sounds for finds, lifting the piece out and being caught, plus interface sounds in the menus.
Fixes
- A resumed museum always has a plinth ready for the next piece. If your run got stuck, resume it.
- You can no longer dig through the edge of the first mound and see the boulder waiting behind it.
- The rockfall's hole no longer hangs under the roof as a floating slab.
One More Exhibit is entered in s&box Game Jam III. If you're enjoying it, a nomination helps a lot.
