Cliffside is the new map I've been creating over the week. Good learnings on texturing using the new mapping system.

Key feature of the new map: NO WALLS

I'm excited to see how far the ball travels whilst it's at a bat-shit crazy speed.

Adding a new map did create some challenges...
 
  1. What happens if I fall? An upwards propulsion will be applied to you to help you back onto the platform. Feel free to use that how you will and let me know what you think of it.
  2. The settings within the TAB menu now include map management options. Each game lasts 5 rounds before changing to the next map. All of this can be controlled by the host.


Dying now grants some fun ragdolls that are sent flying across the map (depending on the speed of the ball). One of the most highlight recommended pieces to add.

I'd like to flaunt the new UI changes.
I'm hoping they give the player a better understanding of what's happening. For example, the ball speed window will change as the ball gets faster, UI reacts to deflect cooldown (with sound effects) and more notifications will pop up on screen to tell you who's killed you, who you killed, who killed who and any type of streaks that you might be on.
Leaderboards have also been added to the game. This tracks the total amount of round wins for each player. I'm hoping to see people get high numbers on this. This will lead well into achievements in the coming weeks.
