The aesthetics and art-style of this game are 1 in a million in my opinion. You don't see a game that looks this good every day, especially ones that don't have insane budgets. If this game was more than a demo it could be up there with Bloodborne, Dark Souls 3, the first fallout, red dead redemption 2, shadow of the colossus when it comes to visuals. I have seen many Playstation 2 era graphics inspired games but none to pull it off like this.
This game I assume is nothing more than a tech demo, the main tech it means to present I assume being the visuals. Combat is bad, not going to sugarcoat, I don't know if this game is ever meant to be a full fledged game but of course if it were to become that then it cannot continue with the gameplay it currently has. This game I feel will not be made into a full game BUT I do think the visual style will be adopted into another game. (And if this is the last time you use these visuals it would be a dire mistake.) If it is turned into a full game it will need to be changed drastially, I know this isn't really Facepunch's thing, but I suggest you get some good writers and turn this into a killer narrative driven RPG like Vampire Masquerade Bloodlines, Disco Elysium, Fallout New Vegas but on a relatively small scale. This game is just walking and opening doors and hitting people with stuff and the hitting people with stuff is tedious and unfun. So I ask that you most defnitely keep this art-style and try find invent some gameplay that will do it justice. (DO NOT ABANDON THIS)
