Lots of potential for a fun challenge, great job applying the engine to 2d! i didn't end up getting past the first area, i spent awhile figuring out the mechanics, and the walljump acts very funky in the first upwards tunnel. the little dude will either jump away from the wall (which seems to be the intended behavior), or jump upwards as if from the ground, seemingly at random. It seems like it depends which tile he's walljumping from.
