If you are a new player PLEASE give this a better chance than just hitting K and reading the menu and leaving because its a little confusing.
This game seems very promising and has a super fun gameplay loop but it doesnt retain many new players because it is somewhat confusing. The main gameplay is going and finding a base you can buy the doors of, propblocking the door as much as you can and reinforcing the props with your reinforce tool, and then spawning a printer and a forge to gather resources and money and idley collecting blueprints. It's also definitely a KOS game but most regulars are chill at least during lower pop.
