Promising! It's a fun simple gameplay loop, but the visuals are a bit too muddy imo. I get it's a unique style but it's hard to read text even. More maps would also be great, but I'm sure this game is still in it's developing stages.
Great aesthetic
Great story potential
Decent multitasking in the gameplay loop
Not a very clear sense of progression or a reason to keep playing. Unlocking the gun at the 5th bar doesn't really interest me because I don't see a clear narritive or reason to want to improve
It's a cute idea with a wonderful aesthetic but it's not very fun in practice. I think a lot of it comes down to just how severe the bullet drop is, how muddy the visuals are, and how shaky the protag's arms are while aiming. It's frustrating at best.
The concept of a sniper roguelike certainly has some promise, however for a game with an instant failure condition on missing a shot it really needs things like proper range finding and calculation tools, having a game with bullet drop and no way to actually figure out how far away your target is without shooting and missing a shot to see how much you need to adjust is just bad game design, as the game is right now for it to be a fair to play game you need some kind of range finding tool as well as clear scope measurements or even scope adjustment tools. With further development turning this into maybe a roguelike with upgrades or just gaining more lives could be quite interesting
Cool concept and game, but the sniping is terrible. The scope optics are constantly blurred into the background and you have no indication for how far away your target is. Neither do you have any way to range your weapon, you just have to trial and error your shots and if you missed? Restart
It's a cool idea and good design, but it lacks a bit of interactivity around.
It needs more than just people, drones, and hackers. Maybe some more props, rooms around etc.
Anyway, good stuff.
Really cool style. Whats there is good, although the reticle is completely invisible when aiming at the sky and the compression effect makes it even harder to aim.
think this game would benefit from having a bunch of detailed mechanical stuff to mess around with, think something like Receiver. Maybe a scope with manual adjustments, maybe some kind of tech to interact with that fights back against the threats.
Hitting long shots with the arcing falloff one after another is really fun.
I got to complain about something though... I wish you could get back into shooting after dying faster instead of needing to click through a few screens.
I also don't really like the hacking that happens sometimes. I don't understand why its there like I'm trying to have fun shooting people and its stopping me.
Other than that though I like this because the sniping it this is addictive and the artyle is cool!
