The Treasure Update: X marks the spot

Messages in bottles at Yolk Atoll now hold treasure maps. Find the X, dig up a chest, and find out who the Captain was.

Something is buried on Yolk Atoll. Three somethings, in fact, and the maps to them wash up in bottles.

The first message in a bottle is still a note. After that, every bottle you fish up holds the next map, and while one is waiting for you, bottles bite twice as often.
Each map is the island seen from above, drawn from the island itself, with a red X. It sits in the corner of your screen and glows when you're close.
The X glints on the sand from right across the island. Walk up to it, aim at it and click to dig.
Three strokes of the spade, and a chest comes up out of the sand.
The first treasure is the Golden Bobber. It floats. Gold shouldn't. It goes straight on your line, and the tackle box's new Treasure tab puts the old red one back if you miss it.
The second treasure goes in your house, and so does the chest.
The third is the last, and somebody has been looking for it for forty years.

Treasure maps - after the first note, each message in a bottle at Yolk Atoll holds the next of three treasure maps, drawn from the island itself
Digging - find the X on the sand, aim at it and click: three strokes of the spade, and a chest comes up out of the sand.
The Golden Bobber - the first treasure goes straight on your line, and twinkles while it floats.
Two more treasures - a ship in a bottle for your house, and one somebody has been looking for for forty years.
Treasure tab - the tackle box lists what you've found and switches the Golden Bobber on and off.
House trophies - the treasure chest and the ship in a bottle, under Catches.

Bottles - bite twice as often while a map is waiting for you.
Old Yolker - has hints about where to dig, if you click him while you hold a map.
