Hello painters & artists,
For 1.13 I got to try out an early release format where you could see alphabet-titled release versions like 1.12b and 1.12c, so essentially this update will just be a recap of the things I added... and some other new feature...
Prompts.
I did notice that at a certain point, there simply isn't a drive or a reason to really start drawing, so with prompts I'm hoping that it will essentially just answer that: at least a reason to draw something.
Depending on how things are gonna go, I'll probably try and figure out a bunch of other game-related or even shop-related features for REPaint next time, but of course those things aren't quite guaranteed. As per usual, I'm very good at making half-assed promises!
How does Prompts work?
In the prompts tab... at the top right, there is a "+ Create Prompt" option which lets you quickly write up a drawing idea for other players to see.
There are 3 drawing stands for 3 players. You can take ownership of a paper stand by just clicking on it if it's free. So in total, the prompt gets 3 different drawings from 3 different people, and the owner of the prompt can decide which one is a better fit drawing for the prompt they proposed.
The prompt will exist for 30 days waiting for artists to pick up the 3 remaining stands. Once every player has submitted their artwork, the 30 day wait will be set to 7 days. IF the host of the prompt decides a winner, it will also be set to 7 days for players to check up on the winner & submissions.
....of course, if the host decides to remove the prompt, it will be removed.
For the drawing player, once you have selected a drawing stand, you can create a canvas and in the pause menu there should be a new option called "Submit Prompt" which lets you submit your drawing onto the prompt you chose.
You can only work on 1 prompt at a time.
