Love the game. Good sense of progression, unlike a lot of other TD games on S&box right now. Progress is based on XP earned from
playing, plus "skill points" from hitting highest wave milestones, which you use in an extensive skill tree. 3 tiered towers. Third tier
requires a special currency earned from killing bosses, so you're limited in how many you can have. You control a player that (auto) shoots at enemies
, and actively moving around is required to not get killed by bosses.
A couple of the gripes I have with it: The gameplay involves placing down hundreds of towers and upgrading them, with as little of a gap
as possible. A pain to do this due how the button to upgrade is often unresponsive. There's also no way, to my knowledge, to place down multiple
towers in a row. You need to reselect the tower to place it. The tower hitboxes also do not exactly line up with the dimensions of the towers themselves,
making it more of guesswork/trial&error to place the towers, especially with a lot of the first map building areas being angled. There's also not really any
visual difference between the first and second tier of tower, so it's a pain to upgrade large groups of towers without missing some. Especially with the
poorly set up hitboxes. There is a limited amount of "skill points", so you can't max out the skill tree. There's also no respec, to my knowledge, so you
can't explore different builds. There is no automatic waves, which sucks.
Anyways, I think I'm done with this game. I was personally able to make it to ~wave 65 or so, more if I bothered to keep upgrading stuff. I can't realistically
see people getting past wave 70, at least not solo. Progression (of player's skills/wave rewards) stops at wave 50, regardless.
