Reminds me a lot of DATA WING, a mobile game...
Honestly, if you can add a story mode just like DATA WING, it will set you miles above other Kill and Upgrade type games that I've seen so much of so far. The updatese added much needed Replayability values but I dont find myself playing for longer than a few minutes before getting bored, great fun and has a lot more promise if it has a story mode just like DATA WING somehow.
Honestly didn't play long, but I didn't need to, as it was going to be the same I reckon all the way through. Reminds me of Deep.io, but just a lot less and more barebones, with a boring loop.
Could use some better upgrades, or maybe changes in the model itself. The way it runs and everything, seems like it was slapped up in a day and shipped to try winning this game jam, and maybe cause it's been on longer that's why its got these votes. But I couldn't see it earning my vote in this state.
Got till the 25th though so never know, maybe some updates will make it better and more promising, but for now not a game I'm going to come back to unless updated.
Please rework the credits/upgrades and make them more like sausage survivors so you continiously upgrade your character as you play!
Remove that One more round shit in the bottom right its a really annoying seemingly prompt regrgitation.
Why the fuck do I have to hold down the fire key the entire time, when wouldnt I want to be shooting everything?
If youre keeping credits maybe some outside-of-session progression system would be cool.
The game is fine, it's fun and replayable, even though the sounds get boring fast. My main issue with it is that there are a ton of games already like this, with Triggernometry being the biggest (and probably oldest) on s&box. It's not stolen per se, but it doesn't add anything new and there isn't an argument to play this instead of the other games.
ok, I’ll give it a “Recommended” rating, but only with a huge stretch. The game is insanely simple and, unfortunately, in a bad way. It’s a good roguelike, it’s polished (because there’s not much content), but sooo boring. It needs to be made more challenging: add a shop, and include that key roguelike element where you can choose the bonus you want.
I mean there are thousands of games like this and with AI now there are a couple million. I would not play something like this but some people might find it enjoyable. Its a hit or miss depending who you ask.
Seems like a top-down shooter tutorial for Gamemaker with annoying sounds and boredom. There's a lot of games like that not only in S&box but in other places (steam for example)
Is S&Box screwed up so much that this game is considered one of the best in a Game Jam?
This is probably the best thing presented so far; the potential for further development is evident, so I’ll be keeping an eye on it and looking forward to updates.
AWESOME dude, i do really think there should be some sort of dodge or something, because after a few mintues, theres so many enemies on the screen it makes it a little too difficult to avoid things with how slow you move. i think it would feel SO much more better and make it alot more fun/ intense if you could dodge or something to get those really close calls that are super satisfying when you avoid with a clean dodge haha
