- In singleplayer mode you now get immediate feedback on how your run has been placed in the global leaderboards
- When playing Multi-Throw mode, the round results are now much more comprehensive, breaking down each individual throwing-result
- "Cannonball" Achievement has been unoptainable due to a rounding bug, never counting the landing speed to be 2000. (thx to "Sample Text" for the headsup!)
- Multiplayer host settings, to be able to setup the lobby however you want
- New achievement "World Record", awarded when you're number 1 in the leaderboards on ANY Singleplayer stage
- Fixed a bug that caused other players not getting the same amount of speed boost as the host when flying through a Speedring
- Added multi-throw mode where each player has multiple plane-throws, leading to more chaotic landing zones
- Added Stage voting to Multiplayer, allowing players to vote for their favorite maps
- Multi-Throw currently is only active on Map "Corals". We're still thinking about making stage modifiers like "multi-throw" randomized or just give the host an option to set it on all maps.
- Implementing multi-throw was a bit more work than I expected due to the games systems having to be changed to fit the new game-flow, so if you find any bugs, please let us know and we will fix them ASAP!
- Thank you for playing Paperflot and I hope you'll enjoy this update, it's far from the last :)
- New Singleplayer Stage "Darts"
- Stage Modifiers that change the rules of the game, starting with "Sticky Balls"
- Improved Dropper stage and added "Sticky Ball" stage modifier
- UI improvements for low resolutions (for example on a steam deck with 1280x800)
- Increased Target- and Speed-Ring hitboxes due to player feedback (thx Drizzeydrazz)
- Fixed Controller input sometimes not working, for example when trying to go ball mode
- Fixed bug where it wouldn't respawn pickups like speedrings when replaying a stage (thx Drizzeydrazz)
- New Leaderboards for singleplayer mode to get world records and flex on other players
- New Achievement "Beating us at our own game" if you manage to beat the devs submitted times
- Improved Hit detection when going very fast as paper ball (EnhancedCCD)
- This is an early state of the leaderboards implementation for Paperflot. We will make sure to fix any bugs asap. Hope you'll enjoy speedrunning!
- new (experimental) multiplayer map - big stairs, hope you enjoy it!
- new playerball model to represent a crumpled up paper-ball (still placeholder)
- new sound effects for different actions like collecting rings etc.
- new achievements (landing safely, getting an S+ and landing while >= 2000 speed)
- Target rings and other items like stars can be collected while in ball mode, which can enable some new strategies
- New singleplayer stage "Big Stairs" to showcase "ring-only" stages
- This patch includes a bunch of bug fixes to prepare for our next big update
- Improved collision detection: previously the player could slide off walls and the hitboxes were a little too forgiving.
- Fixed multiplayer bug causing another player not being able to control his player after the first round
- Fixed camera on crash now lingering on the player for a while, instead of jarringly cutting to water pov
- We're still lacking a tutorial and some of the gameplay elements could be better displayed and explained, like what results in crashing and what is a safe landing. Landing is supposed to be only possible in Ball-Mode and we will do more work to make the core game-loop as easy to understand as possible.
- New paper plane model
- New flight-mode "Jet", allowing full rolls and loops
- Game settings to set controls to player preferences, like inverting the pitch (up/down) movement
- There aren't a lot of stages to play yet. Next updates will focus on more stages and game modes.
