Every day now has its own dig: one seed, the same twelve corridors for everyone, with its own board for the day. Ring the bell by the arch to start one, it sets your own museum aside exactly as it stands and hands it back when you're done, so trying it costs you nothing.

The score is your final visitor count divided by the rounds it took. There's no clock in it anywhere. Digging a piece carefully costs you nothing at all; the only thing that costs is losing a round, because that's one more round for the same twelve plinths. So the board rewards care and punishes failure, and never once rewards going fast.

Best of the day counts, so you can go again as often as you like. All-time best is 108 at the time of writing (set by me).

Ran yesterday's dig? Press Tab at the board in the hall and you can see where you actually finished.
