The official Sandbox mode in s&box falls far short of its legendary predecessor for now. At this stage, it feels more like a technical showcase for the Source 2 engine rather than a true replacement for Garry's Mod.Falls short of the original: The game lacks the chaos, freedom, and endless variety of tools that everyone is used to in GMod.Requires heavy polishing: The physics can act weird at times, the user interface needs work, and many core features feel unrefined.Faith in Facepunch: Despite the current flaws, there is strong trust in the developers. Garry Newman’s team knows how to polish games, so the future looks bright.It is a great foundation for a future platform, but Garry and his team still have a massive amount of work ahead of them.

At the moment, DxRP in s&box is highly disappointing. The mode feels like a raw prototype, and there is no real point in playing it seriously right now.Nothing to do: The gameplay becomes boring after just 15 minutes. Core mechanics boil down to aimlessly walking around the map.Severe content shortage: There is a critical lack of jobs, tools, and items. It is nowhere near the variety found in the original Garry's Mod.No interactivity: The economy does not work, player interaction is nonexistent, and there is simply no place to apply actual RolePlay rules.For now, the project feels like an empty tech demo. It is not worth your time yet; we need to wait for massive updates.
