Season 3 fully resets every player's gameplay progress, so everyone starts from scratch and experiences the rebuilt game from the beginning, alongside Vehicle Expeditions, a redesigned world, deeper progression, hostile mushrooms, 105 achievements, and major multiplayer and UI improvements.
Season 3 begins with a full gameplay progression reset for every player. Everyone starts from scratch because the rebuilt game and its new progression are designed to be experienced from the beginning. This reset affects gameplay progression; player accounts are not deleted.
Season 3 is the largest update we have built for Chop The Forest. It expands the game far beyond the original chopping loop with a vehicle expedition mode, a deeper endgame, new social systems, more things to collect, and a major stability and interface pass.

Take your vehicle beyond the main camp
Vehicle Expeditions introduce a new way to play. Enter a private expedition zone, drive through procedurally assembled routes, cut trees with vehicle-mounted saws, collect dedicated materials, and build a stronger machine for future runs.
Three modes support different goals:
Practice lets you learn the route and controls without spending fuel.
Standard is the main timed progression run with materials, rewards, and upgrades.
Timed Stock puts everyone in the same stock setup and scores driving and chopping skill for fair competition.
The garage supports five vehicle levels, multiple saw layouts, a driver-seat preview, vehicle upgrades, and complete body-and-saw customization. Controls, camera behavior, handbrake feel, saw spin, tree audio, reconnection, and simultaneous multiplayer expeditions have all been polished for a smoother experience.
Collect, customize, trade, and compete
Season 3 adds a full collection layer around vehicles. Body and saw skins have clear rarities and previews, while Body Crate, Saw Crate, and Paint Pack use cosmetic Shards earned in the vehicle loop. Duplicate drops remain separate collectible items, and the Premium body collection includes Lamda, Boomer, and CooperTruck.
A secure player-to-player skin trade flow supports multi-item offers, gifts, request-only trades, previews, notifications, and ownership protection.
Timed Stock has its own monthly rankings. The best vehicles can appear on three world leaderboard stands, while another stand lets a player rent a 24-hour showcase for their current car and loadout.
A cleaner, faster world
The main map received a broad surface and streaming pass. We optimized terrain and grass behavior, repaired known holes and broken edges, cleaned up problem areas, and prepared a dedicated location for the expedition track, leaderboard displays, and the personal rental stand.
The expedition itself runs in a separate pocket of the connected world and builds varied routes from biome and tree sets. Grass streaming was profiled against dense scenes, road exclusion was tightened so foliage stays off the track, and recovery rules help return players or vehicles that leave valid ground. The result is a more stable world with more room for new activities.
More progression after the last gate
Prestige now continues to level 10, with larger endgame goals, stronger permanent bonuses, and the new Crowned Mimic pet at the final milestone. Every existing pet has been revisited so its purpose is easier to understand and each choice has a clearer place in a build.
Discobot's remote sale is now a deliberate convenience instead of a constant shortcut: it requires a completely full backpack and a Courier Charge. Visiting a physical seller with a nearly full backpack restores charges.
The old daily mission rotation has been replaced by 15 permanent progression chapters covering all 45 forest zones. Each chapter combines chopping, coin, material, and equipment goals, with rewards that can include coins, logs, and planks. Progress no longer disappears at the end of the day.
The forest fights back
Hostile mushrooms now patrol tree territories. They can only be damaged with an axe, and their strength scales with the zone and gate tier. They chase, dodge, regenerate, and can release poisonous spores when pressured; defeating them awards coins appropriate to the current progression tier.
The Fortune Keeper introduces a persistent quest with its own interface and voiced character. Complete his Wheel of Fortune challenge to unlock the right to purchase the new Mushroom Hat, a cosmetic reward with no combat advantage.
Two late-game forest traders — Knootwood and Cowboy — provide remote selling points far from the main camp. The convenience has a price: they buy the full backpack for 70% of its normal value. Nearby selling has also been streamlined so the maximum available logs can be sold with one button press.
Grow a Forest Garden
The new Forest Garden is an AFK, tamagotchi-style side activity tied to your progression. Start with two plots, unlock space for up to eight, plant tree families you have reached, water them over real time, and return to collect stored coin income.
A dry tree pauses production instead of disappearing, so a missed visit does not erase your plant. Growth times, planting costs, income, watering, and a six-hour storage cap keep the garden useful without replacing active play.
A clearer record of every journey
Player Profiles now bring together coins, playtime, logs chopped, cosmetics, planks, ELO, prestige, pets, Timed Stock records, and achievement progress. You can review your own journey from TAB or approach another player and inspect their public profile.
Season 3 adds 105 in-game achievements with category filters, score values, progress tracking, and unlock notifications. Missions, profiles, achievements, the garden, the garage, cases, expedition preparation, results, and 1v1 screens all share a broad new UI pass.
Outside the game, chopandmine.com now provides real-time player statistics, seasonal leaderboards, development news, and public player pages from one place.
Experimental localization (alpha)
Season 3 includes the first test version of our localization system. Alongside English, the game now supports experimental Russian, German, French, European Spanish, and Latin American Spanish translations and follows the language selected in s&box.
Localization is still in alpha. Some text may be inaccurate, awkwardly worded, or not fit every interface perfectly. If you find a mistake, please post the current phrase and your corrected version in the Localization channel on our Discord server. Player feedback will help us improve every language.
Months of fixes underneath the new content
This update is also a technical rebuild. Multiplayer synchronization was revised to remove the main stale-state problems around chopping, backpack contents, log sales, plank production, and gate unlocks. One-click selling reduces a full backpack sale to a single nearby action, while Q/R shortcuts and paid TAB travel are now more responsive.
We completed a large interface cleanup across the core loop and fixed many layout, clipping, input, cursor, reconnect, vehicle recovery, and transition issues identified during development.
The backend has moved to a more reliable Hetzner environment. Player progress is stored server-side, and the production database is automatically backed up to remote storage every three hours with integrity checks.
Season 3 is here
Vehicle Expeditions, trading, vehicle rankings, display stands, the expanded endgame, and the rebuilt world are ready to explore now.
Thank you for playing, reporting problems, and helping us shape the biggest version of Chop The Forest yet.
