Congratulations to the winners. Tech jam isn't exactly what I'd like to see, but as long as it's just fun for christmas, okay.

The right thing is that monetization should come from things other than jams:
  • Creating clothes for avatars
  • Exporting games to Steam (this is where the game author takes responsibility)
  • Well own solutions with server code and dedicated servers on linux ?

And then the jams will become more for the fan, and you grow, you realize that you made mistakes when making jams.

The tech jam as a concept is really important to me. I've never been able to join other game jams as they traditionally rely on art - be that 2D drawings or 3D models, it's always a wall. I enjoy programming but hate having to draw or model and am very early in my learning journey for that stuff. Creating libraries and assets for others to use in a game-jam-like setting was truly refreshing for that reason, so I hope we have another one in the future!
