An addictive puzzle game about a hungry girl who decides to play a game with a space chef. The goal is to eat 100 dishes and escape this dream—a task that is incredibly difficult, as the food doesn't just sit on the plate; it actually fights back! I really enjoyed the visuals and the competitive gameplay.
Awesome game and amazing artstyle, but as others said, guide book is really confusing. Recent update made it much better with chef's hints,
but it's still unclear, for example, what some items do
This is very well polished and I was having fun for a bit but i genuinely do not understand what i am doing at all. All i can tell is that clearing platters and then "recycling" them gives me orbs that i can use for benefits but that is it. The tutorial messages disappear way too fast to read and the tutorial book is completely incomprehensible.
I lvoe the artstyle, the music and the premise. This is very unique and i can absolutely see this being a hit, work on making this game comprehensible.
I am going to just be honest, I can not understand what is happening in this game.
There are too many mechanics and I don't know what anything is doing.
I tried playing this a few days ago and thought maybe I was just tired or something, but genuinly the gameplay is incomprehensible.
All I know is you need to walk into enemies and dodge attacks, but that's basically it. I'm not even sure half the other mechanics like the items do anything meaningful.
The book is not helpful. I know that you updated the game a few times to change how it plays but its all still impossible to understand.
Obviously though the art, audio, style and presentation are all top tier. That's all far better than almost everything else on sbox.
Its hard for me want to even want to post this because of how good the presentation is (and seeing how few reviews this game has relative to players indicates to me I'm not the only one who feels that way; I think people are just hesitating because its hard to be honest about it; they don't want have their review degrade the good aspects of this game but they can't bring themselves to recommend the actual game part of the game).
tldr: The art is amazing but I don't think anyone actually understands whats going on in the game. I am favoriting the game to find it again to re-review later if there are updates.
Edit: there were some updates and honestly even with that I still don't understand the game, but on this fine afternoon I was drinking a beer and I just felt like changing the review to Recommended from Shows Promise.
Very simple and extremly intuitive once you get the hang of it. Super fun arcade style gamplay, that might turn a bit repetitive for some, but still great, although I do wish being able to change difficulty to make it harder, or find a seed that becomes a bit more challenging since once you get the hang of it can become a breeze.
Biblical levels of gluttony.
It's a pretty cute game. It really doesn't hold your hand on how it works, but that gives it a nice arcade charm to it.
It's depth is pretty low, but again, for what it is, it's a delight.
Also some of the better mixed audio I've heard compared to a lot of games.
